The Lil' Girl Who Smiled Back...

With her hands outstreched as she held His, she smiled back...with laughter and bliss and love all around she is smiling and gleeming with joy...the tinkering of her trinkets and her laughter makes Him smile too... "its okay my child, you are free...you are safe...don't worry everything else will be fine soon...All you have to do is to be an angel and spread happiness around."

She joins the others in play. Dressed in white they all paint a serene picture....

I didn't know her...neither did i knew her name nor had i heard her voice...but she needed somebody who could help her...somebody of her kind...I had spoken to her Dad the day before and it was decided upon the next morning...

The next morning as i was to leave i messaged her dad saying that i would reach there by 10.As i was about to leave for it i got his message that read ," Thanks alot.I lost my baby...thanks for your gratitude." I went numb.I dint know what to do, what to say. My Dad asked me," lets push off. aren't we going?"

It dawned upon me that i was late. She had left before i could do anything... I couldn't help her...Maybe my share of blood would have stopped her from going...Or it may not have...
But i knew of a thing. She was now in the safest hands of GOD ....free from the pain that she had gone all along ...away from the suffering she couldn't bear...she had become a free soul now... now she could laugh and have a painless life...Rest in GOD's arms...nudge onto him to play with her...
...Now she has become a lil' fairy who would help GOD in lighting others' lives...

My friend reminded me of the Gladiator line," When Death smiles on us all we can do is to smile back."
..... The lil' girl had smiled back too.... :)

death is part of life... as you have experienced through this little kid... but it HURTS... if we all could constantly remember death while living, may be life on this planet would be much better...

i know it is not easy to forget this .... i wish you wil never forget this.... that will make you a more sensitive person...
thanks for sharing this

I agree my friend(aativas)that death is the reality of life and nobody can deny it but tell me one thing why does one need to constantly remember death when it doesn't make you feel good about it. I respect your views and partly agree with what you say.

Look around us people, everyone is so lost with no happiness whatsoever. I urge all u guys to respect both death and life.

What are we propagating to our people?

Are we sensitive towards the world?

The answer is simple and blunt:
No.... No....No...

Solution is also simple:
We need to create positive conversations with a smile.

Call for action:

it's great to smile... we should do it more often! people are more attractive and welcome when they smile.. and people like you more when you smile... (well most..!)... so why not all smile?! find out more about the "[I Smile] coz' [U Smile]" - Conversation Project09 here: http://smileconversationproject09.blogspot.com/

Ernest Becker once quoted "The irony of man's condition is that the deepest need is to be free of the anxiety of death and annihilation; but it is life itself which awakens it, and so we must shrink from being fully alive."

The Ghost in the House

ā€œThis house is just how you had described Mr. and Mrs Kruger!ā€, said the house broker.  Kris and Kate walked into the apartment and stared and stared.  The house had everything they had ever wanted- a living room just adequate enough to house Kateā€™s small library shelf in the corner and Krisā€™ editing machines and still have enough space for the seating when some extra friends came over to stay, a cozy bedroom with just enough light coming in, the perfect kitchen where they would cook together not too big not small, a bathroom good enough to fit a tub,  a balcony perfect to fit two chairs where Kate could make a tiny garden and where they could sip their morning coffee or have a glass of wine at night.  Kate whispered in awe, ā€œThis is it! This is just like a dream.!ā€ The house broker smiled and added, ā€œSurprisingly its just a little more than the half of what you had decided as your budget.ā€  Kate turned to Kris loo...

Choti Nalu

N of #AtoZChallenge Nalu ą¤®ą„ą¤¹ą¤£ą¤œą„‡ Nalini, my Aaji. My Aaji has a played a BIG role in my life. My Aaji (Mum's mum) and we lived together till she passed away. I got her, all for myself till the time I was twenty-one years old!  She was not just my Aaji, but my roommate, my sister, my friend, my Guide, my Teacher! All rolled in one! My Aaji would often tell me stories. And some of these stories would be memories about her childhood. Whenever she narrated I would immediately be transported back in time, to the Mumbai of the late 1920's and early 1930's! My imagination would turn sepia and I would see my Aaji as a ą¤¦ą„‹ą¤Ø ą¤µą„‡ą¤£ą„ą¤Æą¤¾ą¤šą„€ ą¤›ą„‹ą¤Ÿą„€ choti Mulgi (but with my Aaji's face)!  Aaji grew in the heart of Dadar. Her father taught my Aaji everything! He put her in the best school of Dadar (King George semi-English), he helped her in her studies through school, he encouraged her to sing and learn the harmonium, he taught her to cycle on the f...

The Cute Coffee Boy

It was raining. I entered the cafe disgruntled. The stupid rain had wetted by library book. And my date was running late.  So here I was drenched with murk and water expected to dry off and sit in some corner reading a wet book as my date would make a late entrance. I headed straight to the counter to order a coffee. I saw no one. I yelled, ā€œWill I have to make my own coffee?ā€ A boy got up from under the counter and smiled apologetically, ā€œSorry. I will make one for you. What would you like?ā€  I forgot what I wanted. He had twinkling puppy eyes and his lips wore a warm smile. His words seemed like a song that I didnā€™t want to end. He looked into my eyes intently waiting for me to speak.  I wanted him. I wanted him to keep on talking to me.  ā€œI would like one hot chocolate.ā€ ā€œAnd would you like some toasties to go with it?ā€  I wanted to say, ā€œWhatever you say.ā€ But I said, ā€œYeah cool.ā€ Okay now keep talking. I asked, ā€œWill you get ...

Hugging the Himalayas

*Crump*  *Crip* *Kudum*  The leaves and the twigs broke under my shoes. I was panting and puffing and sweating. Ashu dada called out, ā€œWe are almost there!ā€  I put my head down and kept climbing until there was no more to climb.   ā€œGuys, you got to see this!ā€  I raised my head and lost my breath.  We were standing atop a hill overlooking the the magnificent snow mountains. The Dhauladhar range covered in white swept across our eyes. The sky was a true ā€˜sky blueā€™ and the sun shone on the tallest of the peaks.  I was in heaven!  And to prove that the cities lay on the other side cramped up like little ants.  At Triund  and Photograph by me :)  Once I had gotten my bag in my yellow tent I sat outside and lay on my back  watching the soft fluffy white clouds breeze by, taking in every bit of the snow wonder. The snow mountains looked no less than a bowl of vanilla ice cream sprinkled with choco chips...

A Big Leap

She sat in her room ready and alone. The make up artist had just finished the work, making her look the most beautiful that she had ever looked in her life. It was her big day. She was no longer going to be just a girl and a daughter. Within a few hours, she was going to be a wife and a daughter-in-law. She was going to be a woman! She looked at herself in the mirror and was taken aback. The woman in the reflection was looking different than she had pictured. All her life, she had imagined herself to be a bride. She had spent hours and days looking for the perfect dress that would be her bridal dress. Now that she had finally got what she wanted, she was still wondering if this woman staring at her from the mirror was indeed happy. It had been a long journey for her to see this day. She had been in love for eight years with a man who had dumped her in the end for not being of the same community. She had given him everything and had received nothing in the end. At times she wo...
